Committees

At NGFC any club member can become a committee member. These amazing members shape the club's day to day and add value to their fellow players!

If you are interested in joining a committee you can do so as a playing or social member. Get in contact with us to find out more.

Social Committee

Our social committee plans and organises all of the social events throughout the year. This ranges from monthly activities like pubquizes and game nights to yearly events like the Gala and the AGM.

Cultural Committee

The cultural committee focusses on promoting Irish culture. They organise events like céilí's (Irish dance nights), trad sessions and Irish language lessons.

Logistics Committee

Our logisitic committee is the backbone behind the players getting to tournaments. They plan the travel and make sure everything we need is brought and arranged.

Health and Wellbeing Committee

The health and wellbeing committee is twofold. These members aim to stimulate both physical and mental health in the club.

Marketing Committee

The marketing committee runs the clubs social media pages and design marketing material such as flyers and stickers. They are always on the look out for ways to get our club seen by as many people as possible!

Confidential Advisor

One of our main aims is that everyone who joins our club feels safe and comfortable in our club. We ask you to always let us know when something happens that worries you. Because we know it can sometimes be intimidating to bring this to the board we have an assigned Confidential Advisor. The Confidential Advisor is a member of our club who is there to help you when need someone to talk to or advice on a situation. Conversations with this trustperson are kept confidential.

Examples of situations where you might want to speak to a trustperson:

- You feel uncomfortable or unsafe within the team environment

- You experienced or witnessed inappropriate behaviour (on or off the pitch)

- You have concerns about your or a teammates mental wellbeing, bullying or exclusion

- You don't know who to talk to about a personal or team-related issue.
