Website Update!

It's been a long time coming... and now it's finally here! Our new and improved website is live. It is now a sleek, up to date and informative online representation of NGFC.

I remember when Ciarán first suggested we get a website and I have to admit my first thought was 'why? We have an Instagram right?'. Ciarán said it was worth the investment, though. So, as you do in both relationships and business, a compromise was made: if one person found us through the website and signed up in that year, we would keep the website going. As you can guess that one person did sign up, and so the website has stayed.

With time I learned to appreciate the website for what it did for us and started thinking about how to optimize it. The Benelux PRO at the time, Alan Fitzgerald from Leuven GAA, had kindly provided us with a basic layout in our club colours which included the most important bits like training times and a contact form. Me being a pinterest girlie at heart, I wanted more. I wanted our website to look professional and streamlined and stunning and classic and elegant and I wanted a page to share the story of how we started and a page to introduce the committees and a gallery page and and and... The daydreams had started and a moodboard was put together before long.

Alas, time is a friend to no (wo)man and life got busy which means the website update was planned, but never realised. Currently being inbetween jobs however, I finally had some time to pull out the ol' website and start playing around again. You are now reading our first blog post, something I had never even considered an option and now makes me excited beyond measure!

I hope you enjoy the website as much as I enjoyed piecing it together and do make sure you check back regularly for blog posts by myself and other members of the club!
